We didn't get that close to the actual cauldron, but we did come across a couple hot spots. The first thing we did when reaching the end of our hike was break out the marshmallows to do some roasting. After that we headed to a nearby cave formed by volcanic activity. There are gaps in the roof of the cave that allow in shafts of sunlight. Finally, a long break to enjoy our sack lunches before heading back down the mountain.
This looks like fun!!
