After four days of exhausting work, we took a much-needed break yesterday...sorry for not posting but we did not return until after 10 p.m. We wanted to catch the sunset on the black sands of the Monterrico beach and it's a 3 hour drive west. The comment I heard again and again from the students was that they really needed this today...not just because of the last 4 days but more because they are exhausted from their "average day" back in the states. I can't imagine being a medical student and all of the work and mental energy that it requires but these are some dedicated men and women and I am so proud to know that they will all soon be alumni and fantastic representatives of KCUMB.
