Volcan Pacaya

Today was a long, exhausting day, but very fun. Most of the group went to Volcan Pacaya. We left around 9 a.m., and took a one hour bus ride to the park entrance. It was at least a 2-hour hike up the mountain, then we explored and ate lunch for another couple hours. A long hike down the mountain, including "skiing" on volcanic rock, then a long bus ride home. We're pooped, but it was well worth the effort. See my next post for a couple of the fun things we found there.
