At 10:00 this morning, Cortney and I met all of the students who are headed on the trip. Dr. Desai and Dr. McCandless (who is pictured here in the tan sweater) gave us a general overview of what to expect on the trip and provided an itinerary of what the students (and Cortney and I!) will be doing for the next few days in preparation for the trip. This includes packing the trunks with medicine and other supplies, practicing our Spanish and presenting reports on various aspects of health care specifically for this region. Reality is setting in...we'll be in a whole different world in a few days!
