I was so proud of the effort our students showed today in treating patients that, for the most part, speak a different language. Several of them shared their frustrations with me that sometimes they couldn't ask the questions they wanted to ask, or understand the responses they were hearing. But I believe their compassion shined through, and that speaks much more clearly than their Spanish language struggles.
