First, I want to give a shout-out to my colleague and co-author of this blog, Beth Dollase. She did a great job today distributing drugs and supplies from the pharmacy to the patients. Many of them require verbal instructions because they can't necessarily read. This was quite a feat, since she only starting learning Spanish a couple months ago.Also, I want to share that today was Match Day for KCUMB students. It was a bit more difficult for those on the DO Care trip, because it's a lot harder to access email and phone, which is how they would get the news, of course. And when they do get the news, whether it's good or bad, they're a long distance from the support of their friends and loved ones. It's one more sacrifice that they make to be here.
