Odds and ends

First, I want to give a shout-out to my colleague and co-author of this blog, Beth Dollase. She did a great job today distributing drugs and supplies from the pharmacy to the patients. Many of them require verbal instructions because they can't necessarily read. This was quite a feat, since she only starting learning Spanish a couple months ago.

Also, I want to share that today was Match Day for KCUMB students. It was a bit more difficult for those on the DO Care trip, because it's a lot harder to access email and phone, which is how they would get the news, of course. And when they do get the news, whether it's good or bad, they're a long distance from the support of their friends and loved ones. It's one more sacrifice that they make to be here.

  1. We are loving the posts guys! Keep them coming! Such an awesome thing KCUMB is doing there!!!!!!!

  2. It's great to see the pictures and read about the great work you are doing. Thanks for taking the time to share what our kids are doing with all the parents back at home.
